ECOG Club Weekend Trip to Dent, Yorkshire

Sue organised a fine campsite on the edge of the picture postcard village of Dent. Great facilities and proximity to fine food and excellent ale. Excellent planning :). How could we fail! The weather could have been kinder, plans of BBQ's were postponed in favour of pub grub at the Sun Inn.

Walking wise we made the most of the overly moist conditions with some of us heading up Whernside on Saturday, others staying in the valley. Sunday turned mostly fine for the walk with ample sunshine and inspiring views over to the Lake District and beyond. The valley of Dentdale is looking beautiful presently dotted with late spring flowers and fresh foilage on the trees, well worth a visit.
